Journalists’ Murders Most Likely to Go Unpunished in Iraq
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, Iraq is the world’s foremost nation for the unsolved murder of journalists. Between 2004 and 2013, no convictions were obtained in cases involving the deaths of 100 journalists in Iraq.
Journalists’ murders are also likely to go unpunished in the Philippines which has 51 cases unsolved since 2004. War-torn Somalia rounds off the top three with 26 murders lacking convictions in that nine year time span.
