The UK's graduate job market in 2020 will be a touch larger than it was last year. According to the latest report by High Fliers Research, there are 3 percent more vacancies planned for graduates than there were in 2019. As this infographic shows, the area that the largest share of these positions will be in is the public sector with an expected 5,594.
In terms of growth, the largest annual increases in recruitment targets are in banking and finance (+16.0 percent), charity (+14.1 percent) and oil/energy (+12.6 percent). On the flip side, reductions are expected in engineering/industrial (-6.6 percent), chemicals and pharmaceuticals (-5.1 percent) and investment banking (-2.8 percent).
