Apple's latest iPhone software update, released in September alongside the iPhone 11, has needed more bug fixes than ever. iOS 13 caused apps to crash and download slowly. There were also interface errors and issues with cellular signal and email. In Apple’s history, iOS 13 has been the most unpolished update.
Bug fixes are common for Apple, but the issues with iOS 13 have been unprecedented. With eight updates within the first two months of its release, there have been more software patches to iOS 13 than to any of its predecessors, Bloomberg reported. In comparison, last year's iOS 12 only needed two bug fixes within the first two months of its lifespan. With six updates in two months, iOS 11 was also buggy, followed by iOS 10, which had five updates in that time frame.
More polished, iOS 7 and iOS 8 had four updates in two months, while iOS 9 only had three.
