Electric Cars by the Numbers

Electric and hybrid vehicle sales have increased substantially in the United States. Back in 2011, Americans purchased a mere 17,735 electric vehicles, a number which rose to 78,079 between January and October 2013. During the same period, hybrid car sales went from 266,329 to 424,290.
