The Economist Intelligence Unit's Worldwide Cost of Living 2019 was released today, revealing the cities around the world which are most and least expensive to live in. At the top of the scale is Singapore, Paris and Hong Kong with an index rating of 107 - New York is the reference city with 100. This infographic though, shows the cities at the other end of the list.
Relatively speaking, the Venezuelan capital Caracas is the city where living costs the least, with an index score of just 15. As can be seen on this chart and as noted in the report, this economic advantage comes in some cases at the cost of life quality and safety - Damascus in Syria a prime example of this.
