Mass Casualties In The Gaza Strip

The International Committee of the Red Cross has said it is sending two surgical teams to Gaza to help deal with an unprecedented health crisis. According to United Nations monitoring of Palestinian Ministry of Health data, 128 Palestinians were killed and 13,000 were injured between 30 March and 31 May after violence flared up along the border between Israel and the Gaza strip.
The data shows that the period between 11-17 May was the deadliest with 2,055 people injured and 63 killed. The number of people hospitalized between the end of March and May stands at 7,195 while 3,664 injuries from live ammunition recorded. A further 1,325 injuries were caused by gas inhalation while 420 were attributed to rubber bullets.
