Film & TV's growing contribution to the UK economy
UK Film Industry
According to new analysis by the Office for National Statistics, the UK Film and TV industry is becoming more and more important to the UK economy. Since 2008, the gross value added by film, video and television companies has increased by 313 percent. Last year, the industry was worth £7.65 million. A total of 59,089 people were employed by film companies, the largest amount of which were involved in production.
