When we think of Christmas time in the United States, we think of massive amounts of Christmas lights, large Christmas trees, and all kinds of other holiday décor making sure that nobody misses out on the holiday season. Therefore surprisingly, this year’s Statista Survey showed that nearly half of the respondents had no interest in shopping for Christmas decorations and furnishings any time soon whatsoever. Perhaps they plan to make use of Christmas items purchased in previous years instead or tone it down a bit this year or simply not display any decorations.
Nonetheless, our survey also revealed that 17% of the respondents could imagine buying Christmas decorations spontaneously if they came across a good offer. 14% even indicated that they would be happy to receive decorations or furnishings as a Christmas gift. Lucky for some of them, 10% of the respondents are actually planning to do so and will buy Christmas décor for their loved ones.
