The Countries With The Most Annual Working Hours

Workers in Mexico record the most average working hours per year, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). 29 percent of Mexicans work more than 50 hours per week, and all in all, average annual working hours add up to 2,237. That's about 450 hours more per year than the average American for less than a fifth of the pay.

Even though South Korea has the fastest declining working time in the OECD, it still comes second for average annual working hours with 2,163. Contrary to what most people think, people in Greece actually work the longest hours in Europe and it rounds off the top three with 2,037 working hours per year.
