Just 1 in 5 Think Brexit is Going Well

A new poll by YouGov has revealed that just one in five adults in the UK thinks Brexit has gone well since the EU transition period ended on 31 December 2020. When asked at the end of September this year, a third (32 percent) said they think things are going 'very badly'. Combined with the 21 percent saying Brexit is going 'fairly badly', a majority are of the view that things aren't going to plan.

As this infographic shows, a mere 4 percent would say it's going 'very well', while just 14 percent go as far as saying things are developing 'fairly well'. A fifth of respondents to the online poll didn't have an opinion in either direction, saying that Brexit is going neither well nor badly. Current issues surrounding the supply of goods and especially fuel due to the shortage in lorry drivers have likely had an effect on the forming of the negative opinions.
