Americans Feel Better Off with Trump

A majority of Americans feel more comfortable with President Donald Trump in office, according to a new poll conducted by Gallop. 61 percent of respondents in 2020 said they were better off than they were three years ago. It's the highest percentage people have felt "better off" than in the last three years, with the study being conducted every eight years, going back to 1992.

There is one person who likely doesn’t feel better off with Trump as president. Democratic hopeful and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg responded to a Twitter taunt by Trump on February 13, who accused Bloomberg of being a “mass of dead energy who does not want to be on the debate stage with professional politicians.” He shared an altered photo of Bloomberg and poked fun at his height.

Bloomberg didn’t exactly take the bait. “We know many of the same people in NY. Behind your back they laugh at you & call you a carnival barking clown. They know you inherited a fortune & squandered it with stupid deals and incompetence,” the New York billionaire wrote. “I have the record & the resources to defeat you. And I will.”
