Wall Street Bankers Are Earning Their Biggest Bonuses since 2008

The average bonus for Wall Street bankers in 2013 grew to its highest level since the onset of the financial crisis in 2008, hitting $164,530. Meanwhile, the cash bonus pool reached $26.7 billion. Interestingly, the bonuses went up even though the profits from broker-dealer operations from New York Stock Exchange member firms fell 30 percent.
