Where The EU Imports Its Clothes From
Eurostat has released data showing that EU Member States imported €69 billion worth of clothing from outside the EU in 2020. It was followed by Bangladesh with €12 billion (18 percent) and Turkey's €8 billion (12 percent).
Germany was the EU's top clothes importer in 2020, accounting for €17 billion of total imports ahead of Spain and France, both of whom imported €10 billion each. The EU exported some €30 billion of clothing in the opposite direction to non-EU member states last year.
