New Survey
The UK's most and least trusted professions
In the era of 'fake news', trust seems to be in particularly short supply and as a new survey by Ipsos shows, the British public has little faith in journalists or politicians to tell the truth. In the October poll, only 26 percent of respondents said they trusted journalists, with this figure falling to 19 percent for politicians. At the other end of the scale, nurses are apparently trusted by almost everyone - 96 percent said they find them to be trustworthy. Doctors and teachers made up the top three, with 92 and 89 percent respectively. Interestingly, advertising executives are held in even lower regard than politicians, coming in at the bottom of the ranking with a measly 16 percent.
